an attempt at carne asada tacos.

Sooo my fiance and I decided earlier in the week that we wanted to have tacos for dinner over the weekend, and he came up with the idea to throw a “carne asada” spin on them. We bought flank steaks, marinated them with:

1/3 cup white vinegar
1/2 cup soy sauce
4 cloves garlic, minced
2 limes, juiced
1/2 cup olive oil
1 tsp salt
1 tsp ground black pepper
1 tsp ground white pepper
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp chili powder
1 tsp dried oregano
1 tsp ground cumin
1 tsp paprika
and placed the steaks in a glass baking dish, covered with saran wrap, and put in the fridge to marinade for between 1-8 hours. We kept them in the fridge for about, 4 hours or so. We sliced up some onions, and fired up the griddle! We used whole wheat tortillas, cheddar cheese, lettuce, Campari tomatoes (they are my favorite!), and some hot sauce and voila!
These were so yummy, happy cooking!
