Yay for being back to blogging! It’s been a bit of a hiatus – we finally moved into a house, hooray! It’s been a long time coming with four apartment in four years. We moved every 8 months. I recommend this to no one. It’s horrible, especially when you’re 38 weeks pregnant. Nonetheless, we’re all moved in and pretty much unpacked. One thing that has kept the moving-aspect smooth for our daughter is her bedtime routine. Every other night starts with a bath, but all include gas drops & teething tablets, and finally a feeding to sleep. But also, what she wears to bed goes hand in hand with the routine as well. Insert the Halo Sleep Sack.
Typically, she wears a long sleeve white Carter’s onesie, and a Halo Sleep Sack. That’s her go-to bedtime pajamas. I love her wearing the simple white onesies because they are easy to clean if her diaper leaks, and they’re soft and comfortable. In the winter, I might pair some pants with it, and some socks of course. She has about 5 Halo sleep sacks, and they all vary from either cotton or fleece material. The one shown in the picture is fleece. It’s the cutest print ever!! I would love to get another one. She’s grown out of the medium sized ones so now I’m on the hunt for the large size. She’s a long baby, which is surprising because neither me or my fiancé are tall. She is always so comfortable in these, including temperature as well. We have a couple different sleep sack brands such as JJ Cole, Aden & Anais and Summer Infant. All work pretty much the same, but I can definitely say I prefer the Halo brand. I’ll make a sleep sack post in general and go over all of the ones that we’ve tried thus far.
The only thing I dislike about the Halo sleep sacks? The price. UGH. Even if they’re buy one, get one 50% off, you’re still spending over $30 on two sleep sacks. It’s just hard to keep up with the larger sizes when you’re on a budget like me. I’ve gotten a few hand me down ones, but now we need the large size. So I’m back on the hunt! I love a good sale
